King Louis XIII (Indica 70 /Sativa 30)
King Louis XIII from Green Society, has the prestigious and famed parentage OG Kush and LA Confidential. As an indica dominant hybrid, King Louis XIII can reach THC concentrations up to 20%, delivering a fairly potent hit to the user. The buds of King Louis XIII were dense and due to the superior, fresh-locking packaging; the flowers appeared to picked, trimmed and cured only very recently.
Esthetically, King Louis XIII from GreenSociety.ca was a beautiful strain. There was a calming sage colouration overall; with hunter green, sugared leaves, scattered sparsely over the surface of the bud. Irish orange pistils, pressed tightly, appearing to be straining to reach the light; created an astonishing and lovely juxtaposition of colour. As for fragrance, King Louis XIII’s aroma would be best described as pungent, with sweet and spicy undertones that finished off with a soothing earthiness.
King Louis XIII was a great strain to combust, with it’s robust flavour profile taking charge, as soon as I first inhaled. The flavour was rich, aromatic and it also had a sweetness that was matched with a light skunk scent. The smoke was thick and silky, which filled the air with beautiful clouds of fog, that took quite a while to dissipate. Lingering aromas meant King Louis XIII was better consumed in the privacy of your own home; or alternatively, with a vaporizer that will minimize strong odours.
When vapourized with the Volcano Plenty, King Louis XIII‘s sweet flavour was abundant, making me salivate every time I inhaled. The fragrance was similar to the smoke aroma when vapourized; however, it was lighter and didn’t linger as long.
GreenSociety.ca’s King Louis XIII had much more than an attractive appearance and fragrance. This robust, indica dominant hybrid was also a powerhouse, delivering exquisite feelings of euphoria, relaxation and a calming elation, that had me awashed in an intense, introverted mindfulness. This deceptively powerful strain also sent me into fits of random laughter and was a potent weapon to combat stress and/or pain.
Moreover, King Louis XIII can be used in helping to treat a variety of medical conditions, such as: gastrointestinal diseases, chronic pain, inflammatory diseases, appetite loss, parkinson’s disease, migraines, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, muscle tension and spasms, depression, anxiety and/or other mood disorders (as directed).
24K Gold (Indica 60 / Sativa 40)
If you are a consumer that enjoys the finer things in life, GreenSociety.ca’s 24K Gold strain may be the choice for you. This nearly balanced, indica dominant hybrid is a combination of Kosher Kush and Tangie and can reach THC concentrations of up to 24%.
24K Gold was a gorgeous strain; having the most alluring, golden amber pistils, standing frozen at attention, with trace highlights of jade and emerald greens along the surface of the nuggets. The buds were dense and had crystalline trichomes that would glisten and sparkle under the right lighting. After staring at the nugs for a while, it was obvious why producers named this strain 24K Gold, as the trichomes and amber pistils gave the flowers a radiant, golden glow.
As soon as I opened the bag, GreenSociety.ca’s 24K Gold scent lazily wafted into my nostrils. There was a sweet, lemon, skunky, and earthy amalgamation, which was incredibly soothing and aromatic. 24K Gold is one of the best smelling strains I have ever sampled and hope to find other strains that can compete with its intoxicating aroma.
When combusted, 24K Gold‘s smoke was full flavoured, offering a delectably sweet, spicy, earthy and skunky flavour profile and finishing off with a potent and pungent lemon aftertaste. The smoke felt like velvet as I exhaled and the pain in my mouth disappeared to a distant and fuzzy memory. The fragrance from 24K Gold was sweetly pungent; but, it did not linger. This strain was a fabulous and well-rounded flower, ready for all your combustion and vaping needs.
When vapourized using the Volcano Plenty, the lemon flavour of 24K Gold became candy-like in my mouth, as my taste buds got grasp of the pungent vapour I had just inhaled. The vapour was also smooth and silky, on both inhale and exhale and the lemon soothed my throat like a medicated lozenge. There was also a slight hint of a blueberry flavouring, bringing Tim Horton’s Lemon Blueberry muffin to mind.
As for effects, 24K Gold was fast acting and had me laughing out loud in no time (even when there were no external stimuli). This strain also promoted a deep, full body relaxation and a soothing calm that lasted a couple hours until my head eventually fell upon the pillow in a deep and restful sleep.
Moreover, 24K Gold can be used to help treat a number of symptoms and conditions, such as: parkinson’s disease, gastrointestinal diseases, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, cancer, migraines, glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, opiate addiction and recovery, appetite loss, muscle tension and spasms, depression, anxiety and/or other mood disorders (as directed).
Once you try 24K Gold, it will be easily remembered, as it will surely become one of your favourites, as it has become mine. I was very pleased with the quality and freshness of this bud and had not heard of this beautiful rarity until Green Society. With it’s potent THC content and lemon flavour, 24K Gold delivered the marijuana enthusiast’s dream; weaving taste, aroma, quality burn and perfectly intact, crystalline trichomes, to make a top shelf experience.
Gorilla Glue #4 AKA GG4 (Indica 60 /Sativa 40)
Gorilla Glue #4 is a strain created by GG, that has been reported to have up to 32% in THC concentrations among certain phenotypes and averages from 19 – 25%. This makes GG4 one of the strongest strains in the world. The parentage of GG4 derives from Chocolate Diesel, Sour Dub and Chem Sister.
As I opened the bag, the first thing I noticed was the chemical aroma that quickly wafted into my sinuses. This could be due to the parentage of GG4; probably stemming from the Chocolate Diesel. There was also a heavy presence of old, stale coffee, that also had a slightly singed, burnt smell. The buds were a frosty laurel green with golden pistils throughout; with perfect and white, crystal trichomes, scattered along the surface of the delicately appearing nugget.
The coffee aroma extended to a powerful, all encompassing flavour, as the smoke embarked on its exit journey of out my lungs. There were also notes of diesel and pine that grew stronger, as time went on and more was smoked. The smoke was also thick, rich and pungent; leaving a potent, lingering fragrance, that left no secret of my activities.
When vaped with the Volcano Plenty, the features of GG4 were similar to; but, enhanced compared to combustion, which led to the sweet, chemical flavour becoming a bit too overbearing for me. The upside to vaping GG4 was the speed in which the effects took place; as it seemed to hit faster then during combustion.
Due to the high THC content, I found that GG4 was the perfect strain to inhale if I was having issues with insomnia, anxiety, pain or overwhelming stress. This strain also caused a fair amount of euphoria; as well as, relaxation and a massive improvement of mood. I felt my entire body relax and found myself at complete ease; after a long, hard day.
Moreover, Green Society’s Gorilla Glue #4 can be useful in helping to treat a variety of symptoms and conditions, such as (but not limited to): insomnia, chronic pain, glaucoma, opiate addiction and recovery, migraines, muscle tension and spasms, inflammatory diseases, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, cancer, parkinson’s disease, gastrointestinal issues, depression, anxiety and/or mood disorders (as directed).
Cheese Quake (Indica 60/Sativa40)
This potent, indica dominant hybrid is a brilliant cross breeding of the coveted Cheese and Querkle strains. Cheese Quake can get anywhere up 28% THC content; meaning this strain will have you bound to the couch, if you don’t take it easy. This strain has usually less than 1% CBD, making it less useful for epilepsy.
There are many different Cheese strains available today; however, after inhaling the potent and delicate Cheese Quake from GreenSociety.ca, I have decided on a favourite – at least for fragrance. The scent was sweet, mixed with grape and a dominant, strong and old cheese scented profile. The buds themselves were dense had had a frosted emerald colouration; giving the nugs a mystical appeal, as if each trichome was glittering at the end of a rainbow.
When combusted, the flavour of Cheese Quake was close to the taste of asiago or sharp cheddar cheeses; in addition to, a light flavour of mulled red wine. This strain was a true wine and cheese fan’s delight! The smoke was silky with a creamy texture and when coupled with the old cheese flavour and aroma, it made an experience I won’t soon forget.
When vaped with the Volcano Plenty, the grape flavour that was hinted to with combustion, ripened into a full flavour profile. The grape and cheese flavours amalgamated into a creamy, silky flavour and texture in my mouth. I felt the strain caused me to salivate and as quickly as that started, my mouth became arid as a desert; be sure to have a healthy beverage close by. Furthermore, the scent that filled the air was pungent; however, it was quite tolerable.
The effects of GreenSociety.ca’s Cheese Quake were very euphoric and I had feeling of such joy, I was struck with a silly smile on my face until the strain wore off. This strain also allowed more focus, creativity and a deep mindfulness, that assisted in making my day productive and fly by.
Moreover, Green Society’s Cheese Quake could be helpful in treating a number of symptoms and conditions, such as (but not limited to): glaucoma, opiate addiction and recovery, inflammatory diseases, parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, migraines, lack of appetite, fatigue, depression, anxiety and/or mood disorders (as directed).
Trainwreck Kief – (Sativa 80/ Indica 20)
GreenSociety.ca also sent a sample of Trainwreck Kief, which is grown locally and only collected, when the harvest is fresh. If you are unsure how to consume Kief you can do it almost anyway, rolling it into a joint or sprinkling some on the top of your bowl. Trainwreck lineage is a mixture of two sativa dominant strains (mexican and thai) combined with an afghani indica. This being kief I was nervous about the mind trip I was about to go on.
I found that the kief was tightly pressed together and crumbled easily in my fingers leaving a strong odour of Trainwreck’s sweet, lemon scent on them. The particles of Kief were the most enticing gold colour, that reminded me strongly of Blonde Lebanese hash.
When combusted the lemon flavour was so pungent, I was sent into a little coughing fit; luckily, the fit was only temporary and during the first session. The trainwreck kief was by far, the most mind boggling, powerful experience and should be used with care, especially by novices.
Trainwreck Kief was a potent way to get your medicine and you do not need much to feel the immediate effects. It was hard not to want to sprinkle some on every bong I smoked, as the pain relieving features from this strain were phenomenal and had me loosened up, feeling at ease and ready for the day. This strain can also be very uplifting; however, due to the type of concentrate, I found myself getting sleepy by the end of my session.
Moreover, Green Society’s Trainwreck Kief could be helpful in treating a number of symptoms and conditions, such as (but not limited to): chronic pain, glaucoma, opiate addiction and recovery, muscle tension and spasms, inflammatory diseases, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, migraines, parkinson’s disease, lack of appetite, depression, anxiety and/or mood disorders (as directed).
