Shatter is considered a cannabis concentrate or extract, create from the cannabis plant. This highly concentrated form of cannabis that is made by extracting the oils from weed and then heating it. The process causes the oil to break down and create a hard, brittle substance.
The THC content in shatter is typically between 65%-90% and it can be broken up into smaller pieces or “shattered” hence the name. This form of cannabis is extremely potent and doesn’t require any special smoking devices. It can be smoked using a pipe, bong, joint, or rolled up with weed in rolling paper. Shatter can also be dabbed or vaporized in devices or “rigs” that ‘vaporize’ it at an exact temperature, the user then inhales this vapour.
