Budbox Review – Strawberry, Sweet Tooth, Chernobyl, Cola Edible, and Live Resin
This parcel from Budbox is our third that we have received and we’re excited to do another one of their awesome budboxes for review. It’s been far too long since we reviewed this unique dispensary and we are looking forward to sampling more of their products.
The package came in a small box that was discreet and was vacuum sealed for ultimate discretion. We found the contents inside to be neatly wrapped alabelledled well.
We didn’t have any questions with our order this time but our experience with their customer support has always been positive.
With all that out of the way, here is our reviews of the flower, live resin, and Cola Bottle edible from Budbox:
Strawberry (S 50/I 50)
Strawberry is a strong, balanced hybrid strain of cannabis that has been around for a long, long time. Originally developed in the Netherlands, it’s now is a popular choice all over the weed smoking world for its sweet, delicate taste and its remarkably soothing qualities. It’s a strain that compelled us to sit down and relax, almost like a euphoric indica instead of a heady sativa.
Budbox’s Strawberry nugs, tightly packed and colorful, looked remarkably like the little fruit they’re named after, both in size and shape. The flower was mottled with deep purples, forest greens, and unmistakable bright, fiery orange pistils. In some cases it was more densely packed with red pistils, than with leaf. The crystals clustered around the pistils in brilliant yellow formations.
StrawberryWhen combusted, Strawberry delivered a very comfortable experience, and a deliciously sweet flavor profile filled with berries, grapes and other sweets. Smoking a joint of Strawberry sativa was a very summery smoking experience. The smoke cloud wasn’t as dense as some other strains, its more medium bodied and left a lingering sweet scent to the air.
When vaped with the Arizer V-Tower, the subtle undertones definitely shine, there was some spice and a little clove. Vaping Budbox’s Strawberry strain also delivered a chemical aftertaste, maybe due to the spice and clove undertones.
For people with anxiety who generally avoid the energizing sensation of sativas, Strawberry is the perfect choice. It’s much more subtle, extremely uplifting, and promotes a soothing relaxing sensation from head to toe. It’s a heady euphoric high, but helps you lose your inhibitions and let go of the stresses from the day. As an added bonus, smoke it during the day and you’ll still be able to work.
Moreover, this strain can be used to help treat a number of symptoms and conditions, including (but not limited to): fatigue, obsessive-compulsive disorder, appetite loss, glaucoma, migraines, inflammatory diseases, nausea, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, depression, anxiety and/or other mood disorders (as directed).
Sweet Tooth (S 50/I 50)
There is a hidden joke here about getting high and satisfying your sweet tooth, but when it comes to the Sweet Tooth 50/50 indica-sativa hybrid, its true. It’s a one of a kind blend of many indigenous cannabis strains, from Hawaii, Nepal, and Central Asia. These ancient strains are called landrace strains, and are the original genetics behind all the most popular varieties today, including Sweet Tooth.
The perfectly curled oranges hairs on the Sweet Tooth trichomes were tucked in around the crystal coated fields of green. The Sweet Tooth bud was of standard size but had a much more intricate pattern of color and texture than many of the other nugs on the dispensary shelves. It’s was also of a much looser density, but still tacky and deliciously resinous to the touch.
Sweet ToothWhen combusted, Budbox’s Sweet Tooth produced an invisibility shield of smoke, which took forever to dissipate. The smoke was very obviously sweet, but with deeper flavors of earth and wood. It smelled like the sweet smells coming up from the forest floors after a rain shower.
When vaped with the Arizer V-Tower, some of the best flavors finally appeared. A strong sweet and lingering puff enveloped the room in a dreamlike state. Its flavor when vaped was definitely more candy-like and much less forest-focused. The pull was smooth, and there was little if any harshness felt at the back of the throat.
Sweet Tooth packed a very powerful high. Even after twelve hours, and a solid night of sleep, the effects were still pleasantly lingering in the morning. The indica properties really stood out, as it was profoundly relaxing from head to toe. For anyone with troubles sleeping, a few puffs will ease you into a deep and tranquil slumber.
Furthermore, this strain can help to treat a variety of symptoms and conditions, such as (but not limited to): ADD, ADHD, PTSD, insomnia, headaches, muscle tension, joint pain, chronic pain, inflammatory diseases, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, appetite loss, depression, anxiety and/or other mood disorders (as directed). Sweet Tooth has an intense and long-lasting high, more suited to evening or even nighttime use. It would likely be hard to function at full capacity, after smoking a whole joint to yourself.
Chernobyl (S 80/ I 20)
Chernobyl is a sativa dominant strain that comes from pretty noble beginnings. Developed by a team of dedicated medical growers from TGA genetics, its a unique blend of Jack the Ripper, Trainwreck, and Trinity. TGA Genetics bucked the industry standard in 2001 and started focusing their attention on breeding cannabis with real therapeutic results. Chernobyl is one of their crowning achievements.
When properly cured, the flowers of Chernobyl are one of a kind. The nug was completely encased in a thick golden chrysalis of resin. Although the buds were comparatively small, the resin content more than made up for its small size. The crystal was so dense it was hard to see the amber pistils and bright green pop through from below.
ChernobylWhen combusted, Chernobyl produced an almost tingly sensation traveling down into the lungs. It was full of bright, beautiful citrus flavors; such as, lemon and lime. Even the buds in raw format smelled strongly of a tangy lemonade, followed closely by deep earthy and peppery undertones. The smoke was mid-bodied and didn’t linger too long in the room.
When vaped with the Arizer V-Tower, the original flavors continued to dominate; however, it was overall a much smoother sensation. Sweet, tropical fruits appeared subtly behind the lemons and limes. The vape cloud also wasn’t as intense as one would assume based on the crystal content.
If you are normally nervous about the heady highs produced by sativa’s, Budbox’s Chernobyl strain produced an experience much less overwhelming. It was primarily euphoric and uplifting. The conversation also notably improved in the room, and it was easy to relax. This strain would also be an excellent strain for newcomers to try if they were looking for an un-intimidating and smooth sativa.
Moreover, this strain can be used to help treat a variety of symptoms and conditions, such as (but not limited to): appetite loss, chronic pain, inflammatory diseases, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, migraines, stress, nausea, glaucoma, depression, anxiety and/or other mood disorders (as directed).
Furthermore, as Chernobyl was so energizing; this exquisite strain is likely a good candidate for daytime use. Compared with some similar strains, people have rated Chernobyl to have much more of a medicinal value. Chernobyl from Budbox was also reported to produce fewer side effects like paranoia, dry mouth and dizziness; compared to other high THC strains.
Cola Bottle THC Gummy (10mgTHC/piece; 10 pieces)

Cola Bottle THC GummyBudbox’s Cola Bottle THC Gummies were delicious, small cola bottles that very much simulated the taste of Coke. These scrumptious little snacks had 10mg of THC each and seemed to dosed accurately; as approximately an hour later the entire 100mg came slowly to creep up softly and enveloped me in a warm embrace of relaxation, calm, pain relief and affection. I was able to disconnect from my problems and be stress free; which was a beautiful feeling to have.

Pink Kush Live Resin (I 90/S 10)
Live Resin is a new, high-tech BHO technique to produce the purest and most flavourful concentrate available. While BHO techniques are relatively simple; in contrast, producing live resin is extremely complex and usually needs to be done in a lab.
Pink Kush Live ResinLive resin uses flash freezing methods, usually with liquid nitrogen, to freeze fresh cannabis bud, immediately after harvest. There are many terpenes and cannabinoids that can be lost in the drying and curing process. Even when the curing process is done properly, 50-65% of the natural essential oils (terpenes) of the cannabis can be lost.
Moreover, almost every other concentrate starts off with cured and dried bud; however, this new, cryogenic, flash freeze method is currently one of the purest and best ways to consume cannabis in concentrate form. THC can range from 70-95% with live resin and the the taste speaks for itself. The added terpenes create a depth of flavour that I have never personally experienced before.
Furthermore, live resin produces a concentrate that has a wet, sappy and almost budder consistency, that is incredibly easy to manipulate into a pen or a dab rig. Budbox’s Pink Kush Live Resin produced the most exquisite, simplistic and balanced flavour profile that was incredibly smooth when vaped with the Zeus Thunder 2.
As I have already stated previously, live resin is my new favourite form of concentrate; when I can afford it. The resin burned incredibly clean, it did not leave any residue in my pen and the deep woody terpene profile was as fast-acting, soothing and relaxing; as I feel one could be.
This Pink Kush Live Resin from Budbox will go quickly; this live resin was fire. It relieved pain, uplifted my spirit and delivered a beautiful euphoria; that wrapped me snuggled in its warm embrace.
The only downside to this concentrate is the price; however, the price can be explained by the high cost of equipment and technical know-how needed to produce this smooth and flavourful resin.
